MetroX problems with S3Virge

Hi, I just installed 5.0 a day or two ago, and decided to try the MetroX
server. I have a Diamond Stealth 3d 2000 (S3 virge).  When I ran 4.2 I
didn't install MetroX and things were ok.

When I run the MetroX server, my fonts get corrupted.

This usually happens after running Netscape and dragging the scrollbar.  If
I click on the
scrollbar to move a page then the text is ok.

The fonts start to look like they're dissolving.  First it's only the fonts
in 
the netscape window, but eventually it spreads to everything inside my
window manager, 
*except* fonts in shells.

Are there any known problems with MetroX and S3 Virge chipsets?
