If you have a defective product and don't believe the vendor is doing their
best to deal with the problem, call your credit card company and "dispute"
the charge.  They _should_ give you a conditional credit and ask you to
provide some followup info about why you're disputing the charge.  Info
about the dispute process (which is covered under the U.S. Fair Credit
Billing Act) should be on the back of your credit card statement and/or
elsewhere in your credit card account info.
