Seems to me that Seagate would have a disk manager program for that drive.
I recently installed RHL 4.1 on a 1.295 gig Maxtor, but I installed disk manager
first, so can't tell you if it would have worked without it.

I'd call http://www.seagate.com and check on disk manager.
