pcmciaehternet & control-panel probs...

hello,

i upgraded gtk libs from the update directory of redhat5.0 but still control-panel
aborts due to insufficient color depth (i have 4 colours...), for such cases a
replacement of the control panel should be  available, BTW why is there anyway any
absolute need of colour for this tool??? It is very frustrating to configure a
redhat system without it....


The network through pcmcia is working now as soon as i threwed out the inbuild stuff
and copyed the relevant sections of my rc.inetd1 script of my main (slackware) box.
It went working at the first attempt! Maybe someone has a man page of ifup telling
how it was supposed to work?
