Hugo, I'm not looking for a guarantee. If 4.2 won't run on Virtual PC,
however, I would like to know what specific problems in the emulation
prevent it. If Connectix is made aware of these problems, perhaps a future
version of Virtual PC could be made to support RedHat Linux. Virtual PC
currently supports Windows 3.1/95/NT, OS/2, and OpenStep. There doesn't
seem to be any fundamental reason why it couldn't support Linux.
I am using MkLinux on my Mac 9500 (120 MHz PPC 604). Unfortunately, MkLinux
will not yet run on my Powerbook 3400 (200 MHz PPC 603e). Since I do use
RedHat Linux on an old Zeos 486, I thought it would be worth a try on
Virtual PC.
