PCMCIA installation

I am attempting to install the 4.2 release of red hat over
a fully-supported PCMCIA system...the problem is that the
system, although it recognized that I am attempting to
compile a PCMCIA kernel, it refuses to use PC-Card drivers
to run the network (it only allows me to choose from a set
of ISA ethernet cards when I opt for an FTP
install)...normally, I would simply install a base kernel
compiled for PC-card support and then run the install,
configuring the network myself, but the installer doesn't
seem to allow me to install any kind of base system without
a network connection (or another medium of install) and I
cannot find the nessecary documentation to determine which
software I need to put onto my other HDD partition in order
in install that base system.
Please advise.
Thanx.
