Your problem seems to be an hardware problem, or a driver incompability.
Are you sure the SCSI adapter is correctly working ? Are you
sure that the SCSI disk is also working ? Maybe you can try to
swap temporarily to a file on the win95 disk for installation procedure.
Maybe you can also try to disable from the BIOS (or with DOS/Window and
then using autoinstall) the advanced features of the AMD to reduce its
speed for the installation, we never know. Also, is you CD an official
RedHat 4.2 or a download with a corruption ?
