Basically I'm wondering about the following: Is there some way to configure
a form of global-proxy-*client* (not server) on the Linux box? Can someone
recommend a www-browser that runs under redhat 4.1 and supports proxy? The
other protocols that are supported by the "WinProxy" server include telnet,
snmp, pop3, news, other socks. Any such applications that can be configured
to work through a proxy server would be nice.
The bummer is, I was really hoping to get this working the *other* way a
round! With the Linux box managing the PPP-dialup and acting as a proxy to
the rest of my LAN (well, only the two boxes right now, but it's still a
LAN :)
Well, one of these days, I'll get that darned dialup working under Linux.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
