I just wanted to thank everyone for their help. Although I found the
problem was something different then suggested, it was great to receive
such responses. For those who were wondering why I copied the CD to the HD,
it is because I am running a SCSI CD-ROM and linux didn't recognize mr SCSI
card.
What I found the problem to be was that when asking for the partition and
directory name, I would choose the proper partition (which was correct) and
then in the box for the directory there was already a "/" i.e. Directory
[/ ] . So when entering the names, Redhat, dosc, or just "/" it
didn't work. But I tried taking the "/" out, then everything worked. And
all this was just a test install until I get my new HDs and
reformat/repartition everything. But at least I know how now :) BTW, Anyone
knowhow to get linux to recognize a Western Digital 7193 SCSI Adaptor when
all that is available is the WD7000 in LINUX? Thanks again everyone...
Bryan
