Hi,
I'm having problems trying to install RH Linux 4.2 Intel using a
SCSI CD-ROM (NEC) and a Western Digital 7000 (FASST) SCSI Card. When
the installation process asks for the SCSI driver to use I choose
WD7000 but it doesn't work.
I've tried both "Autoprobe" and with several options, like
wd7000=15,6,0x350
but it doesn't work.
Mi card is configured with the default settings: IRQ 15, I/O Port
0x350, DMA Channel 6 and BIOS Base address at CE00h.
I've managed to install Linux using a borrowed Adaptec AHA 1542B
SCSI card, but I need to get it working with WD7000.
Looking at the source files for the driver, I think that my
configuration is correct, and that are the correct settings.
The rest of my configuration:
Intel 486DX 50
RAM 8MB
Hard Disk Conner (IDE) 240MB
Graphics Card: ATI Graphics Ultra + 2MB (Mach32)
Colorado Tape Backup (QIC80)
I would appreciate any hint.
Thanks and best regards
Josep Egea
