Get the very latest 3c59x.c code from your favourite site. My file is;
54713 bytes, and came from the 2.0.30 source tree.
tail the file to find module compile options, and compile it.
copy it to the modules directory, and...

I believe that we are using;
	 "insmod boomerang options=,14,14" (6+8 to give full duplex)
