 You can change just the color by using "xsetroot -solid <whatever color>"
... you can make your background a picture (tiled) by using "xpmroot <*.xpm
file>" ... if you only have bitmaps, you can use "xv" to load the color
bitmap and save it as a color xpm.

Hi all,

Is is possible to change wallpaper/background on Linux RH 4.1 desktop? If
so, how? I know this is probably a simple task, but it is definitely not
a straight forward process in Linux vs. Win95.
