Hi Jeff,

In a word, YES! I have experienced it, multiple times. Several
yesterday, in fact.

There may be a few things to think about that while not really remedying
this problem, do make it a little more palatable:

It doesn't always crash on verify.

rpm, for which glint is a gui, does not crash. (thank god, or erik! :-)

I haven't tried glimmer, but it's supposed to be a command line equal to
glint, and maybe it doesn't crash, I don't know. Maybe beta, I dunno.

In /usr/lib/rpmrc, there's some kind of trouble with line 9; I guess
fixperms didn't exist when glint was last developed or something like
that. Anyways, ...

In terms of logging or debugging glint, why bother? You'll have to
learn rpm sooner or later, anyway, and the online references are pretty
incredible, and the man page is actually quite decent, once you dig into
it (though somewhat terse--no surprise). You might learn some pretty
cool things about rpm that make the glint problem be not such a big
deal, at least I did. YMMV
