Hello,
It looks like I finally finished the installation process, but I now have a
problem with booting Linux (or any other OS for that matter)
I put the bootloader on the MBR, since docs suggest that.
HOWEVER - when I reboot the machine no OS comes up!! :(
Win 95, which is what I have/had on the machine does not start, and it looks
like the machine tries to boot Linux, but freezes. The only message that
shows
up is the letter 'L' (I think it is the beginning of LILO or Loading or
LINUX
something...)
Needless to say, I don't have a Win95 boot disk (I erased it to make a boot
disk for Linux :)).
I do have the Linux boot disk, but I'm not sure what I would need to fix,
what
is causing this hang/freeze....
If I go into Linux using the boot disk and enter it as 'rescue' what could I
do, to at least get Win95 back for now, and then to fix Linux so that it
boots
properly ?
Thanks!
Otis
P.S.
is there anything I can do at this point to maybe even prevent LILO trom
trying to boot Linux, and just go into my old OS, WIn95 (so I can at least
get a chance to make that boot disk for Win95 ;)) ?
