OK, the DOS tool 3c5x9cfg.exe says:
Base Address: 200h
Interrupt Request: 11
When I look at the card in Win95 (Ctrl Panel:System), it says the device
is using 0240-024h and no interrupts.

OK, here's what I tried:
$insmod 3c509 io=0x200 irq=11
$insmod 3c509 io=0x240 irq=11
$insmod 3c509 io=200 irq=11
$insmod 3c509 io=240 irq=11
$insmod 3c509 io=200h irq=11
And each time it says 'Loading et0', my speakers pop, and the system
freezes up. Sounds like an irq problem, no? How do I troubleshoot
this? I looked at my bios setup and it's not slated to use irq 11 for
plug'n'pray. When I use msd.exe, it says that irq 11 is reserved by the
bios. Is there a way in Linux to view the irqs?

It says 'Warning: Load-time probing only works reliably for EISA bus'
(or something like that), my speaker pop, and the system freezes. So I
need to specify the base io and irq, but that's failing.
