Hi!
I tried to install ipfwadm 2.3.0 on our LAN using 2.0.30 kernel. I have
activated "Network firewalls", "IP forwarding/gatewaying", "syn cookies"
and "firewalling" in the kernel.
When I try and change the input or output rules, they just apply for the
firewall server itself but not for the other computers in the network.
E.g. I disabled incoming and outgoing ICMP packages. When I try to ping
the firewall server, the result is correct. However, I still can ping the
other computers in the network.
Using a sniffer, I checked that the packages actually pass the server.
They do.
What else could be wrong?
Thanks!
-Florian
