Okay, I have a setup currently running RedHat 4.2, with kernel 2.0.31,
and need to get automounting working. As I understand it, this is done
with the autofs stuff, but I was unable to succesfully find/get a proper
RPM for it. I did install the latest autofs, but it says _nothing_ about
how to start a daemon. Everything I try does not give an error, but
doesn't do anything. I thought this was a support issue with the 2.0.30
kernel, so I upgraded the kernel to 2.0.31.
Now, a few questions...
What kernel do I need?
Is this in the 5.0 RedHat release?
Is there an RPM for it?
Is there any information on automounting other than the READMEs?
Does automounting use a daemon or is simply 'automount' enough?
Does anyone have this working?
