I could swear the 3com 9xx's come with such a utility, but my memmory may be
faulty.
On the same principle as editing the CMOS irq assignments to slots (which, it
seems, cannot be done on your motheboard) have you tried re-arranging the pci cards
in your system to different slots and in different orders? This has worked for me
too.
