dependencies error when installing xemacs

Hi,
	I've just finished installing redhat 4.2 and I downloaded the 
xemacs rpm files from a sunsite server. I attempted to install xemacs with
rpm but received the following message
	
	 rpm -ivh xemacs-20.2-7.i386.rpm
failed dependencies:
        libpng.so.1 is needed by xemacs-20.2-7

I installed libpng.so.1 in /usr/lib but rpm still gives the same message.
Could someone please help me out with this.
