Keep in mind this is a beta package, however did you verify that
redhat really knows you installed the libpng library ?
Try rpm -V libpng-0.89c-1 and that works, why not just do a
rpm -ivh --nodeps xemacs*
If you really don't need all the international stuff, maybe just
try the xemacs-19.16 package, which is not a beta package.
