I am trying to compile & install Spice 3f4 on my
4.2 system. When I run the build utility, everything
works fine up to the point where it tries to make
the final executables, where it gives me an error
along the lines of the following:
ld: cannot open -lXaw: No such file or directory
(there are switches of -lXaw, etc)... I checked my
/usr/lib, and /usr/X11/lib, and the appropriate
libraries are all there...
If, instead of using the -l switch, I put in the
full path & name of each of the libraries, that
stage of compile seems to work, except that I get
a lot of unresolved symbol errors... Any clues?
Maybe I need to upgrade my gcc & libraries??
Any help would certainly be appreciated...
