I'm having some trouble getting my mouse working with XFree86 off the
4.2
Redhat distribution.
Inintially, I installed the Metro-X server. However, I have an S3Virge
card,
and Metro-X doesn't provide a dedicated server for this yet, so I only
had VGA resolution (But my mouse on Com2 worked!!).
So I decided to install XFree86. Used XConfigurator, everything
seemed to go OK. But when I startx, the display comes up fine but Mouse
won't move.
I looked at the xf86config file. Mouse is set to Microsoft which is
correct,
and port is /dev/mouse (which I find is linked to cua1).
So what am I doing wrong????
Is it a problem in the 3.2.9 S3V server, or just the mouse
configuration?????
