I'm trying to run Mathematica off of a unix box within the Stanford
distributed computing system. I set the display on the remote machine to
display on my linux box (Redhat 4.2) for which I set xhost + (to accept
all connections.)
However, I get the following error:
xset: bad font path element (#42), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
Directory missing fonts.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax
assertion `GenericUnicodeFont != 0' at MathEditFont.c:43 failed
assertion `GenericUnicodeFont != 0' at MathEditFont.c:43 failed
assertion `GenericUnicodeFont != 0' at MathEditFont.c:43 failed
Does anybody have any ideas? Should I install the fonts on my machine and
if so, how do I do that?
Thanks for the help.
