This is my second attemp to get an answer on this one if anyone has some
clues please respond.
Hello Linux folk:
I have a Linksys Ether 16 Lan card which is set by the linksys software to
an IO address of 0300 and an IRQ of 10. I have tested the card and am 99%
sure that it is a functional card. This is an NE2000 compatible card but
when I indicate that I want to install an NE2000 compatible card in the LAN
setup dialogue and put in the options. io=0x0300 and irq=10. The
installer tell me that it can't find the device anywhere on the system. I
have also tried "modprobe ne.o io=0x0300 to no avail. Any suggestions on
how to get this card functioning? The other issue is what is the correct
method of entering the options in to the LILO boot command line? If there
is more than one option what is the separator that is used. I will also
want to specify a SCSI card in the boot command line.
Thanks.
