And it's incredibly, undeniably stable that way? 

Sorry to pick nits, but this will be our firewall and I'm more interested 
in a little more trouble for a standard machine than a software patch 
that may introduce some instability. There's nothing more annoying than 
being paged on a weekend because some web developer has lost his 
connection to the internet because the firewall died.
