Freezing when copying files

Hi,

I have had so many problems with Redhat that I uninstalled it some time
ago.  Now, I am trying again.  Only this time, it just stops when
copying files.  I have the Redhat version 4.2 on CD that I am copying
from Dos using AUTOBOOT.EXE.  The installation process starts, I select
what I want to acutally install, then the actual copying starts.  Many
times it will just stop when copying XFREE86, but today it locked up on
the second file.  I had assigned 800 megs for the main Linux partition
and gave 200 megs for the Swap.  If anyone knows what might be going
wrong, I would appreciate it.  I have a Cyrix 200, 3.1 gigabyte Western
Digital hard drive, an S3 Virge 4 meg video card, and 32 megs of SDRAM.
I have previously installed the software.
