vector drawing programs

Dear RHL users,

Was wondering if anyone knows of a good vector drawing program that can produce a professional looking figure from a postscript or eps image.  I used to use Adobe Illustrator for the MSwindows for this kind of stuff and dont know of one for the Linux plateform.

Any input is very much appreciated ...Thanks very very much !!!
