Just edit the /etc/X11/XF86Config file and find the Screen section for
your card and look in the Display subsection for a Virtual line.  If
you remove the Virtual line then XFree86 will make the virtual size
equal to the largest physical screen size (if you have 640x480 and 800x600
defined and leave out the virtual line then you will get 800x600 as the
virtual size).
