Yes this is the latest. btw, When I first got Xfig, I had some annoyances
with it trying to get it to fit my screen. You might want alias it in your
profile (so it automatically runs with command line arguments) and put some
command line arguments on the command that Xwindows menus use to run it
(that is, if you're using the standard redhat window manager, edit
/etc/TheNextLevel/.fvwm2rc.defines file)

I don't think you can import a ps file into Xfig. you can definitely import
eps into tgif though. In my experience, I can import them , but not
display them. (ie it just shows a blank box)
And I agree with the other guy about the GIMP - yes, it
is top stuff. I think of it as a photo-editor, but it actually has some nice
drawing tools (including a windoze sucks paintbrush!)
And yes, excuse my jargon challenged ways. Xpaint is a bitmap drawing program.
(Like MS Paint, like I said .)
, so check it out (same site). The gimp should be able to import post-script,
but for some reason, it doesn't work on mine.
Anyone succesfully pulled a ps
file into the gimp ?
