Hello friends: I have the Adaptec 2940UW and it works perfectly with Linux RedHat 4.2. When I pull up Linux this controler makes a reset and it is necessary to expect a time. (devices QUANTUM ULTRA SCSI 3.2 Gb, IOMEGA JAZ SCSI-2 and HP SURESTORE TRAVAN 4i they are hooked to this controler) As I can avoid that when starting up reset this controler? I have added in /etc/lilo.conf the line append="aic7xxx=no_reset" after the line image=/boot/vmlinuz and I have run /sbin/lilo after than and reboot that I indicate myself another linux user but it continues equally . All the suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
