Really need help (PCI NET)

Hey there

I got a Realtek RTL8029 PCI network card, and I don't seem to be able to
get linux to find it,
when I autoprobe I says no avaible devices, if I try to put in the irq and
i/o that the system writes in
the file /proc/pci the system just hangs. I really need help so if anyone
got a possible solution 
please do send it to me.
