LILO problem

Hi

I had to wipe my MBR with LILO on it.

Now I want to install it again using the install disks 
from Redhat

How???
I've pulled my hair in dispair and the only option left is
a hammer on the computer (not a good idea...:)

Spec:

2 disks

sda:

sda1 DOS primary with LILO in MBR
sda2 & 3  dos extended

sdb

sdb1 swap
sdb2 linux root

my problem is that i don't know how to edit the lilo.conf file under the
rescue mode so that LILO put's itself on sda

Neither boot=/dev/sda nor boot=/tmp/sda works

anyone knows???
(or can point me in a direction....:)
