startx problem

Hi there, I configure everything pretty much correct - I have S3 Trio64 
Video card. Configuring through metroX. But I get this particular error :
(in /var/log/Xerrors) and am unable to startx.

couldn't load XKB keymap, falling back to pre-XKB keymap

I thought this to be some keyboard error and chose default keyboard 
mapping also US 101 (alternate), as it didn't work with US 101 keyboard. 
Could some one enlighten me on this and how to overcome this error.
