Ethernet card not recognized

Subject: Ethernet card not recognized

Hi there, my Ethernet card 3Com905 is not recognized by RH 4.2, Pentium 
Pro (200MHz) 32 MB RAM. When I select 3Com90x and do autoprobe, it says 
network device not found. What am I doing wrong. Any suggestions/comments
are appreciated.
