Linux Partition- Still Not working

I am doing a boot disk install for redhat linux 4.2.
I get up to the step after "do you have any scsi adapters?" and then it
says there is no swap space for linux and no partition? How do I create
a Linux Partition? I have tried using fips, and I read through all the
docs. Also, how do I create swap space for linux. Please help me.
thanks.
