HP 820Cse printer problem

Hello,

I have Redhat 4.1 installed on my machine and I finally got around to
try and set up the printer.

I have a HP 820Cse DeskJet printer and I am having trouble getting it to
print.

I have read the Printing howto, and I have run the printtool that came
with redhat.

The printer configured is on /dev/lp1, and when I try ls >/dev/lp1,
nothing comes out.

When I try : lpc status
lp:
        queuing is enabled
        printing is enabled
        no entries
        no daemon present

I have also tried to play with tunelp with no luck.  This printer works
well under windows.

Anyone have any ideas where I am going wrong??
