No problem, I was new about five weeks ago. If you stick with

If you are coming from DOS/Windows, the .cshrc (or .bashrc) files are
similar in function as the config.sys and autoexec.bat.

In your home directory there is a file called .cshrc (or .bashrc if you
are using bash as your shell). It is a hidden file, so you need to use
ls -a to see it. Note that if you have the .bashrc file, you the lines
Eric gave won't work as is (different syntax, otherwise the same idea).
