Hi,
I have successfully set-up my USRobotics modem on my Redhat 4.2 system. I
have now received a terminal adapter and want to configure it for use over a
PPP connection to my ISP. This is a Japanese TA so I doubt it is supported
on PPP4Linux. In fact a search of it on the internet reveals no results
whatsoever!
I can get the TA to dial my ISP, but it then returns a No Carrier message
and my CHAT conversation terminates. I want to know if it's possible to get
the system to ignore the No Carrier message and continue with the CHAT
dialog.
I just want to get it connected synchronously so it should work almost
identically to a modem.
The login required by my ISP is nothing unusual just login, password and
activation of ppp daemon (pppd).
I can use the TA no problem under Windows 95 which also runs on the same
system.
