No - cable modem is gateway.  I don't believe I can telnet to it- I think
it's pretty dumb.  It's a Com21.  Anybody know?  I think they left me the
manual- I'll try to find it.

I have read this, and may go that way down the road.  I'm currently paying
(out the nose) for 2 extra IPs, but I want the POP accounts that come with
them, so it's ok for now.  When I get this Linux stuff all figured out
and start running a mail server that may change, of course.

Yes- modem and all machines hooked to one hub.
