what redhat version is it?  3.0.3?  4.0, 4.1, 4.2?  It is also possible
that the boot disks are bad... have you tried 'autoboot'?  (load cd-rom
drivers under dos, and <cd-rom>:\DOSUTILS\autoboot.bat)

THat would be my first suggestion.
