I am new to this list so please excuse me if this subject has been
discussed before. I browseed the archive briefly and couldn't seem to
find what I'm looking for. I recently installed redhat linux 4.2. The
install went ok so I tried to configure X. I ran XF86Config and the
first time the X server ws infunctional. So, after making a few
changes to the configuration, X finally works, sort of. The display
is seperated into 4, identical smaller sections seperated by
flickering black vertical lines. It seems as though the display is
accidently displayed repeatedly. Similarly,at other resolutions, this
occurs as well, only the number of screen seperations is greater. I
have an ATI 3DXpression video card and I would greatly appreciate any
help anyone can offer with this as my vision is suffering from trying
to use x in this condition.
Thanx
Geoffrey Hing
