PCMCIA eth up/down network services?

One would think that there is a natural way for setting up the PCMCIA
eth0 device to start and stop the network services such as nfsfs and
others when it goes up or down (plugged in and plugged out). But I can't
seem to find the right place to marry the "nfsnf start/stop" with the
network scripts "ifup" and "ifdown".

Am I missing something?
