Netscape problems

Hello
I just installed Communicator...
ppp works fine...I connect to my ISP...
but when I run Netscape 4.04 it says it "the server I was trying to connect to 
does not have a DNS entry"...
I checked my resolv.conf file....seems OK...

(By the way what does "search  <domain name>" in resolv.conf do?
Do I still need this even though I have IP address of name servers?)

Any assistance to get Netscape working would be appreciated...
