Dear users,
I'm using RH5 and after upgrading my bash-1.47-x to bash-2.x from redhat ftp site, my system cannot boot :( What should I do? Here are the error messages when the system loads:
While opening UTMP file: no such file or directory (this line repeats many times)
Init: Id "1" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 mins (the # 1 will change to 2,then to 3)
Init: no more processes left in this runlevel
when I tried to ctrl-alt-del, it said:
Shutdown: warning: cannot open /var/run/shutdown.pid
Init: cannot execute "/etc/rc.d/rc"
Please help me! I don't want to reinstall everything over. :( TIA
Luan
