Metro X question: lock screen not working

Ok, so I've installed RH 5.0 and Metro X and everything seems to be
working pretty well.  But there's one little thing with X-windows that
isn't quite working right: the screen saver/lock screen function.  I
don't even know how to trouble shoot this, so perhaps someone can give
me a hint.  

Yes, I know that ths isn't a show-stopper issue, but I'm kind of worried
that this might be a symptom that something more important that isn't
working quite right.  And it bugs me, too.
