Swap vanished...

Well, finall got redhat all set up, but when I went to go look at my 
partition info, in teh nice little gui control panel, it says that my 
/dev/hda6 (the swap drive) doesn't exist and I should delete it out of 
/etc/fstab.  I reinstalled linux (I'm such a pro now, it only took a couple 
of minutes), but the swap was gone again.  Is this normal swap drive 
behaviour?  Or should I look into it? ANy thoughts?
