Hi,
I'm a very new ... newbie with a problem:
Trying to install Red Hat 4.2 on a P166MMX/KM-T5-T1 mainboard
computer I the kernel resets the machine while booting...
I can't see very well when exactly this happens as the printing on screen
dissapears very fast but I suspect that it resets during the
"Calibrating delay loop...".
I read this list's archive and saw somebody with a similar mainboard had
the same problem.Somebody suggested a BIOS upgrade, but the guy never told if
he followed the sugestion and if it actually worked.
It's kinda risky to do that so I don't wanna do it unless it's really
necessary...Can somebody tell me if it works or better, if there's another
less drastic fix to the problem ?
If this is already a known bug ,I appologise cause I haven't been able read
the errata section on redhat's site...I don't have much of net acces:-(
Thanks,
xian
