I installed RH5, lilo is working fine (I can boot into my old win95 via
lilo), but when I boot into linux I get the error inittab not found,
enter runlevel. No Matter which runlevel I try to enter it says "init No
more processes on this runlevel" and hangs.
I have 1.7 Gig total for my linux partitions,(only a 40MB swap) 128M Ram
(I'm passing linux mem=128M to the kernel). I have my drive partitioned
to 5 drives (/ /usr /etc /home and /var) with about the same space for all
of them.
If I could get some suggestions on things to try I would be greatful.
I'm going to try and put everything on one big partition and see if
something isn't loading correctly because of the multiple swaps.
The HDD is a Quantum Fireball 2.0 GB (I have my root partition of the
Win95 Box on it as well) and I have also a 5.1 GB Western Digital Caviar
that I could allocate some space from if needed. (Both IDE)
Video Card is STB Lightspeed 128, and Canopus Pure3D
Sound Card is Awe64Gold
p200MMX
128MB 50ns EDO Ram
AOpen 430 TX MotherBoard
Intel Etherexpress Pro 10/+ Ethernet card (Which won't detect during
install)
USR Courier V.Everything External modem on Com1
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Chris
