lilo installation woes.

Hello
I am trying to install RedHat onto a system that has OS/2 boot manager
installed on it.  All partitions were created with OS/2's fdisk.  I tagged
the Linux and the Linux Swap with the Linux fdisk during installation. 
Installation went normally up until I tried to install lilo on a 2GB
partition.  The drive geometry is a little strange to me since I told the
system to create all partitions at the start of free space.  It works out
that the big linux native partition is on the 4th primary partition.  lilo
gives an error and Alt-F4 says lilo gives an error.  nothing anywhere
gives any clue as to what the error is, only that lilo installation has
failed and do I want to try again.

Anyone have any clues?
