Hi All !!
Help me , please.
Now I'm trying to install Linux RH 4 on new machin- with
SCSI HD. Installation was successful, but
my PC do not want to boot from HD - it print on screen :
<<LI 80 80 80 80 ..... >> and so on, and it trying to
read fd0. When I insert floppy meanwhile , the PC hangs up. But if
I trying to boot from floppy - everything OK
I had partitioned disk by cylinder, and sda1 is marked as active
(it is marked "*" in partitions list )
lilo.conf is:
boot=/dev/sda
linear
map=/boot/map
install=/boot/boot.b
prompt
timeout=5
image=/boot/vmlinuz
label=linux
root=/dev/sda1
read-only
Does anyone has some ideas ?
Best regards,
